Prove their health
Health Certificates for Sale of Pet
If you plan to sell a dog, cat, or ferret in the state of Florida you’ll need a health certificate. This certifies your animal has their required vaccinations and has been given a clean bill of health—incredibly important for selling pedigree pets. We can help you navigate the confusion of health certificate requirements and sign your pet off as healthy and vaccinated.
Travel with ease
Health Certificates for Traveling With Your Pet
Traveling within a state with your pet is as simple as loading them in a carrier and hitting the road. Interstate and international travel pose a few more complications, namely health certificates. We can help you fulfill and sign off the requirements of the health certificate you need to travel with your faithful friend.
What you need to know about health certificates
Why do owners need a health certificate?
Health certificates prove your pet is up to date on their vaccinations and healthy. This prevents the spread of disease during travel or the sale of pets who have not been proven to have a clean bill of health. Depending on your reason for obtaining a health certificate, you will need to follow different guidelines. Be sure to check in with your state USDA office to determine the specifications required of your pet’s health certificate.
Do health certificates expire?
Yes, health certificates will expire 30 days from the date they are issued.
What is on a health certificate?
A health certificate or certificate of veterinary inspection (CVI) can only be provided by an accredited veterinarian. It is an official document that identifies the animal and proves they meet the regulations for their intended movement either for travel or sale. This certificate indicates your pet is healthy to travel, does not show signs of disease, and has up-to-date vaccinations.
