Find Your Best Friend

In a worst-case scenario, your pet may get lost and not be able to find their way back home. A microchip allows a vet to scan your pet and contact you. It’s quick, easy, and painless for your pet to have a microchip installed, so it’s a vitally important part of caring for your pet.

How Microchips Work

A microchip is a very simple procedure and solution for if your dog or cat goes missing and is recovered by a stranger. It only takes a few minutes at an appointment for our experienced vet to implant the microchip into the extra skin on your pet’s back. This ensures that it creates absolutely no discomfort for your furry friend and they can go back to playing like normal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are microchips painful for pets?

Microchips are implanted in the loose skin on your animals back, so they don’t even notice that they’re there. The actual injection may cause some discomfort, but the microchip itself isn’t painful at all for your pet.

How big is a microchip?

Microchips are very small. They’re only a small amount bigger than a grain of rice.

Do microchips have GPS in them?

No, your pet’s microchip does not have a GPS in it. When someone finds your lost pet, they bring them into a vet and the vet is able to scan the microchip to get your contact information.

Does my pet need a microchip if they wear a collar?

We strongly recommend to get a microchip and a collar for your pet. If they get lost, they may lose their collar, so a microchip is the best backup plan to have.
